Let me get this out of the way up front: I don't think bone conduction headphones are my personal cup of tea. They lack a midrange and bass because of the technology they utilize so if you're looking for high-quality sound, this ain't it. I believe this is a universal issue and not related to this particular brand and as such I'll be reviewing the product for what it is, rather than any shortcomings I personally feel.
From the moment you open the Amazon box, these headphones make a good impression. They're well-packaged and the instructions are easy to understand. I really appreciated the physical buttons for volume and one extra for on/off and pause/play. If you've used any kind of tech before, these are as simple as it gets to set up. I had the headphones connected via bluetooth to my laptop within 30 seconds, no issue.
I'll admit, there's the stereotypical voice that comes along with some of the mass produced cheap tech in the world. You know it, I know it, your neighbor knows it...."Ze bluetooth devaice is a-readee to pairl" or whatever. These headphones have none of that and I'm grateful. It makes a strong vibration when turning on/off and when connecting to a device. It immediately provides a higher feel of quality than I expected.
The construction of the headphones is about what I'd expect. Solid with a bit of heft, but the way they sit on my head gives the sense that these suckers will last for a long long time. I had no problem tossing them around. This is useful considering there's no included carrying case or way to store them outside besides the packaging.
The battery was fantastic. I'll admit I didn't pay a ton of attention to my battery levels but I used these every day at work for a week and didn't get a low battery notification, so it must have been at least 30 hours. That's solid enough. The charger is some proprietary magnetic charger and it was close to my giving it 4 stars instead of 5 for this one thing. The magnet is pretty weak and could easily get bumped off accidentally if one wasn't paying attention. I would rather have seen Qi charger or just simple USB-C charging. I had no problems with charging on my own, so it feels unfair to dock a star for what 'could' happen, but be aware of this.
I have no problems recommending these to you, dear Amazon shopper. I don't know how they stack up to brand name bone conduction headphones, nor do I care. These work great, they do what they're designed to do and they do it well. I haven't used the microphones yet so I can't comment on that and I don't think I have mp3 files anymore so I didn't use that storage. I do like that feature though, so maybe I'll update this review in the future.
These open ear, bone conducting head phones work so much better than I expected!
My husband has used bone conducting headphones for a few years now, due to the fact he has zero hearing in one ear from a past surgery. He loves music, but standard over the ear headphones, or in ear headphones, only allowed him to hear through one ear. With true bone conducting headphones, he can once more hear music in stereo, as the sound vibrations travel through the jawbone going directly into his inner ear area. He already has a different brand but he was able to try these as well and found these just as nice as the brand he already owns.
I found these to be extremely comfortable. At first I felt a bit of pressure where they rest in front of my ears, but that quickly went away as I wore them and became so comfortable (no headaches!) I found myself wearing them all day using for music and phone calls!
Phone calls were clear and the button features were easy to use and navigate. I was able to walk around the house doing things hands free while my phone was somewhere in another room.
Music sounds great, not as much bass as some people might prefer, but perfect for me! I signed into my Amazon account and clicked on a playlist and enjoyed my day!
Bluetooth connected quick and easy. I also connected to my roku on my tv and I was so happy to be able to watch TV and movies AND actually hear what was being said!! I love using these to watch movies,... I just need to remember to disconnect them before going back to my phone.
These are comfortable with enough room for ponytails or buns in the back. Also great if you wear glasses too. I put them on first, then my glasses sit on top, and then they both sit secure behind my ears.
I was able to use them for 2 days before I really needed to charge them. Not continuous, but music/phone calls during day, a few movies, etc. Charging was quick and easy. The charging cable is magnetic and connects right up.
These are also boxed very nicely making them great for gift giving. Included in the box is a card with their website so you can register your headphones and they will extend the original 18 month warranty to a full 2 years! Pretty good for a pair of headphones! I love these and for sure would buy again!
I have been looking for the bone conduction headphones for a while. I am very picky with audio quality and I have headphones for different use cases. I use Beyerdynamic DT880 Pro open backs on my hi-fi system, Sony mdr-7506's with Beyerdynamics pads I use on my home office computer, polks for sports/outdoors, WH-1000XM4 for travel, AKGs for office backup. I wanted to get bone conduction for the times I need to hear outside wihtout being bulky.
Initially I wanted to get something with wires but it seens like the conduction headphones with wires are not producing enough volume if they lack some sort of amplifier to power the drivers. Therefore I focused my attention to bluetooth headphones.
Within that category, there are some models from known btrands however I found the prces for those a little high
I found these during the pime day and based on the price and reviews I decided to give it a shot.
They look small but fit very well and feel quite comfortable. I wore them for around 2 hours first day without any issues.
Looking at ton of reviews of other brands, I was not expecting too much for sound quality, but they turned better than I thougnt. Keep in mind that none of the bone conduction headphones will be hi-fi and even if they were with the open ear design, there would always be noise coming from outside anyways.
The power usage is incredibly good, after hours of listening it was still above 90% which is great.
It has 32gb memory on board and I loaded ~25gbs of mp3s on it. The transfer is slow, but it is not something that you do daily, I don't normally listen to mp3s but given this is not part of any of my hi-fi setups, It is good to have some music with your headphones as an alternative.
The controls are very user friendly, 3 buttons total and each have different functions depending on short click, double click etc. once you start using, it is very convenient and easy to feel and use.
So far I am loving it and I recommend you to try.
This is the second pair of bone-conducting headphones I've had. I've only used them for a week or so, but have yet to need to charge them. If my phone's data is correct, the battery is still over 50%, and I intentionally kept these on for 12 hours the first day - playing music for at least 6 of those hours - and have used them for at least 10 more hours since then, all told. I'll update if this battery life changes, but this is really impressive so far!
I have also made some phone calls with these and the people on the other end say the sound quality is good - not "far away" or echo-y.
For my head, which is probably small-average, they are a little loose, and on my husband, whose head is larger than average, they fit, but were a little snug. Under his hair, he would probably have had a better fit.
Like all bone-conducting headphones, you can hear the world around you while playing music or listening to your podcasts or books, etc., so not noise cancelling, but these get loud enough (without maxing out) and still have a really full sound for this style of headphone. They'll never reach the levels you'd get with over-ear noise cancelling headphones, but these are much better for applications where you still need to hear the outside world, or times when regular headphones would fall off.
I intentionally didn't read the manual when they arrived, just plugged them in, then turned them on when fully charged and have been able to figure out just about everything simply knowing how my other bluetooth headphones have worked. The only thing I haven't used yet is storing music directly on the device, which I may do in the future, but I don't really need that feature just now.
I am a musician and so constantly listening to music. When I listen to music I listen for every note and the problem with normal in ear buds, is that the external sounds are completely blocked. This can be a nuisance or dangerous, for example, riding a bicycle on a busy street. These are also perfect for working around the house, because I won't miss any phone calls or door bell rings while using them.
One of the best features of these ear buds is a 32GB MP3 player. You can preload it with up to 8000 MP3 tracks and even listen while swimming..amazing! You simply connect the charging cable to the ear phones, then plug the other end into your PC and a USB drive appears and you can load up all your favorite tracks. A double click switches from Blue Tooth to MP3...brilliant.
DO REMOVE THE PLASTIC FILM from the contacts on the headset or you will neither be able to charge, nor connect to your PC!
The audio is surprisingly robust and can easily achieve a louder than comfortable volume.. The earphones stay in place yet are comfortable for long term use.
My only concern is the charging / programming cable, which is unique. I have not been able to find an off the shelf replacement in the event this one is lost or shorts out.
I have burned through a number of charging cables for my watch which occurs if I leave the cable plugged in and it accidently touches ferrous metal. I always carry spares for my watch when I travel. I suggest they either list a source for replacements or provide a spare in the box.
